Do I get my own domain name with an eWedding website?
Yes. You can select 3 choices at time of website payment and the first available from your choices will be registered and setup for your website. You can choose from .com, .net or .org. You will be e-mailed a confirmation within 24 hours.

Is there a cost?
No. Unlike other services, we do not charge for your domain name. We register domains at a top registrar which charges $30 per domain, yet we include this with your website at no extra charge. It's like paying $59 for your 1 year wedding website.

Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. You just need access to your domain settings and set it to 'mask' or 'frame forward' to your eWedding url. Your eWedding url is the temporary url you received at signup. http://www.eWedding.com/sites/USERID (Replace 'USERID' with your User ID). Within 12-24 hours after that is set, your domain will take people to your wedding website at eWedding.com.
Some registrars do not allow you to setup your domain in this fashion. Some registrars will also charge a fee to give you access to these settings. You may need to e-mail your registrar and ask "How do I mask my domain to this url: http://ewedding.com/sites/****?" Replace **** with your User ID.

I already paid, what is my domain?
Domain name confirmation e-mails are sent within 24 hours of payment. Because of the real time nature of the Internet, domains have to be checked, registered and setup manually.

Who owns the domain name?
Per our Terms of Use, the domain names are registered by us and remain in our domain name account until expiration. You are free to register a domain yourself and set it up for use with your eWedding website. Instructions are in answer #3. We can also transfer the domain name to you at any time, instructions at #6.

Can you transfer the domain name to me?
Yes. We can transfer the domain from our account to an account where you have total control for a one time transfer fee of $25. The transfer can only be done during the registrated period, which is the same as your website term. You will then be responsible for the yearly fee to keep the registration active at the registrar of your choice.

Why do other services charge for this?
Most other paid wedding website services charge from $15 - $100 to add a custom domain to your website. We do not, we give you a total website package lacking nothing, a website isn't a website without a custom .com. Don't get caught paying extra for what should be included, we give you a $30 domain name for free.
